• Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908U, all US carrier variants)
• Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908U1, sim-free US variant)
• Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SC-52C, JP variant)
• Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro (22081212UG, EU variant)

Devices with 3GPP Rel16 enabled out of the box by the OEM:

• Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908U, SM-S908U1, US)
• Xperia 1 IV (XQ-CT72, XQ-CT54, XQ-CT62)

How to enable 3GPP Rel16

Step 1: Launch EFS explorer

Launch QPST with your device in diag mode. Then, open the EFS explorer.

Step 2: Upload the NV item files for NR-DC

Navigate to /nv/item_files/modem/lte/rrc/efs/, then /nv/item_files/modem/nr5g/RRC/

Right click and “Copy item file from PC”, do not drag or drop.

List of NV item files:

/nv/item_files/modem/lte/rrc/efs/lte_3gpp_release_ver set to 0xD0

/nv/item_files/modem/nr5g/RRC/nr5g_3gpp_release_ver set to 0x02

For dual SIM devices, also copy over the files suffixed by _Subscription01
